Welcome to Justice Center for Elder and Vulnerable Adults

"Elder Justice Center at the University of Kentucky where research and action meet to stop elder abuse"

On Friday, June 12 2009, the Justice Center for Elders and Vulnerable Adults was launched at the University of Kentucky.  The statewide, interdisciplinary Center will address elder abuse, guardianship, end of life, access to health care and a living wage, and quality of life issues.

The Center is dedicated to research and educational efforts that measurably improve the lives of Kentucky elders  and vulnerable adults and their families.  The Center, housed at the University of Kentucky in the College of Public Health, is a joint collaborative effort that draws upon the significant strengths of researchers and practitioners dedicated to elder justice in the Commonwealth.  Members include persons from law enforcement, Cabinet staff, the legal community of burnaby lawyers, state government, the medical community, and researchers from the University of Louisville and the University of Kentucky.
